BENEFACTORS: A BLACK GIVING COLLECTIVE
Benefactors: A Black Giving Collective is a national Black giving circle, founded in 2024 with seed funding from former giving circle, Benefactors, and the Greater Washington Community Foundation.
Today we are building community and mobilizing individual philanthropy to invest in Black-led and Black-benefiting nonprofits across the country. We have granted $80,500 since our inception.
Benefactors: A Black Giving Collective was created to empower individuals who want to invest in Black communities in meaningful ways. By pooling resources, learning together, and participating in a collaborative grantmaking process, members are helping shape the future of Black philanthropy.

YOUNG, BLACK & GIVING BACK FUND
The Young, Black & Giving Back Giving Fund provides direct grants to Black-led nonprofits across the country and supports our Do Good YBGB Fellows, emerging nonprofit leaders gaining hands-on experience within the Black nonprofit sector.
Through our work, we are connected to thousands of Black nonprofits nationwide, giving us a unique understanding of their needs, particularly small organizations operating with annual budgets of less than $25,000. With less than two percent of institutional funding going to Black-led nonprofits, many organizations providing critical services in education, mentorship, health and wellness, economic empowerment, and more continue to face significant funding gaps. The YBGB Giving Fund helps address those gaps through mini-grants that provide essential, flexible resources to strengthen programs and community impact.

The Fund also invests in the next generation of nonprofit leaders through our Do Good YBGB Fellows, providing opportunities to deepen their knowledge of philanthropy, nonprofit leadership, and the Black nonprofit sector. Together, these investments strengthen the organizations serving Black communities today and the leaders who will help sustain this work for years to come. As of fall 2026, we have invested more than $46,000 towards to academic success of our fellows.
